What is Leadership Academy?

3-Day Leadership Academy

Next Jump Leadership Academy is an invite-only, full-immersion training workshop designed to share and teach our unique programs and insights on how to build better decision makers. It is an intense window into:

Training Decision-Making – We have spent the past 10 years unpacking the building blocks of decision making into foundational skills that can be trained.

Navigating Uncertainty and Risk Taking – It is effectively 1,000X harder to be decisive and have good judgment when it’s not clear what to do.

Managing Your Psychology – We are living through a time of chronic uncertainty and unpredictable stress, how do you adjust for this new normal?

Unlearning Old Automatics – it’s commonplace to train our body for high performance—yet we rarely prioritize training our mental automatics, defaults and thinking patterns.

History

Leadership Academy was created in 2014 as a pro bono experience for other organizations and companies wanting to observe, learn and participate in facets of our culture in detail and ‘in practice’ to implement in their own organizations.

In 2016, Next Jump was recognized Harvard University as one of two top learning organizations globally (DDO: Deliberately Developmental Organization), alongside Bridgewater, the largest hedge fund in the world.

While we are is neither researchers nor academics, Next Jump’s 30 years of history and experience aiding over 10,000 organizations—everyone from government to large corporations to startups, education and military– via our social mission has enabled us to break down the foundational elements of decision-making into practical curriculum.

I feel honored to have been included in this leadership experience… based on my colleague’s testimonial I had high expectations. They were exceeded.

My biggest takeaway is that I need to reexamine my definition of leadership. I previously believed that leadership starts by serving others, taking care of others, and developing others. What I realized is, especially recently, that I have neglected to develop myself.

I now understand that I need to increase my awareness about my own immune system response, continue to ruminate on what I heard and learned, learn more, and determine how I not only better myself but how I can share this with others…

This was a truly special experience that will be a marker in my personal journey.
